- Hello!
I have a qestion concerning resolution. The problem is: I installed Mandriva on ASUS notebook A6G. With ATI radeon 9700 grafics with 128Mb memory. The phisical size of display according to manufacturer is 1280*800. I try to set this size in KDE and I see the picture but it is too big for this screen. It can be scrolled with mouse out of borders. I tried all sizes and stop now on 1024*768. Picture is not very sharp but it fit the size of display. Is there any chance to make it more sharp and fit it into size 1280*800.
Thank you in advance

- Did you try lowering the colour from 24bit to 16bit?

- Thanks for answer but I made in another way.
Ive set reso 1027*780 and display size 1024*780. Than under Root corrected xorg.conf all concerning 1024*780 into 1280*800. Reboot X-server and all now is ok. I just winder why Mandriva couldn't make it automatikally?
