-   While trying to get some programs running from source I keep getting errors involving a lack of 32bit databases. For example libX11.so.6. I have googled for the answer, but it seems to me that mandriva should have an rpm with the needed 32bit Xorg libs? If such an rpm doesn't exist, how would I safely add required 32bit libs? (also I cant figure out how to search other peoples questions in case someone asked this.. is this possible?!)

Thanks,
Ian

-   Your best bet is try adjusting the config file for the compiled app to point it at the
'lib64' version. Most lib64s etc should be seen as providing the 'lib' (x86) version,
so it may also be a case of you not having the proper lib64-devel package
installed.

-   nope, that wasn't working for me for some reason.

I ended up adding the 32bit side to urpmi and installing the things that way, as suggested at another forum.

I'm sorry I never closed this, but I thought the site was just dead.
