nvidia does not load

Installation skipped. -------------------- If I use the old kernel (which has nvidia support) everything seems to work. How can I get nvidia to work with the kernel in the limited Edition? /Peter
Linegod_7611 : 22/05/05 02:32 PM : Reply received -   Drivers for third-party software (primarily closed-source drivers) need to be compiled against a specific kernel. If you are a MandrivaClub member, you can get the nvidia-kernel driver from the MandrivaClub site (http://www.mandrivaclub.com). If you are not a member, you can download the driver from nVidia (http://www.nvidia.com), and using the instructions from the nVidia site, compile the driver against your current kernel (You will need the 'kernel-source' RPM as well). Peter_L_8662 : 23/05/05 10:04 AM : More info provided -   OK, I found two rpm's with nvidia 6774 and after some trouble the driver was loaded the first time. When I restarted I got a similar errormessage as above, but with exit status:3. However the nvidia kernel works! I am satisfied but it's disturbing with this message at every boot. It shows that something is incorrect someware. /Peter
