-   After I upgraded to 2005 Limited from 10.1, boot process stays on "Checking for New Hardware" for almost a full 2 minutes each and every time. Is there a way to disable this check? I'm a newbie finding my way around the file system, so go easy on me.
Thanks!

-   The quickest way would be to open up a console (ALT-F2 and type 'konsole')
then switch to root (type 'su', press enter, then your root password) and
type 'drakxservices'. Disable 'harddrake'.
