-   i just both a new main bord (an abit aa8 dualmax) with 4 x SATA but it doesn"t
see my harddisk during install. i am using mandrake10 PLEASE HELP

-   You could try passing a combination of the following options (Press F1 during
install for custom installation) during the install - noapic, nolapic, noacpi
acpi=off

Or, you could try the 10.1 Beta 2:
