-   Whenever I shut down my system, upon restarting, my volume level is reset to 0 for some reason beyond me! If I open the mixer and raise my levels, sound works fine until I restart, then it's back at 0. Any ideas? I use a SB PCI 128 which is identified by Linux as an Ensoniq 1370 I believe. Is this a common problem with an easy fix? Thanks in advance, Roy

-   After you have finished setting your values in KMix, click on 'File' then 'Save current settings as default'.

-   I figured the sound problem was probably an easy fix. (volume levels reset to "0" after reboot) The "save current volumes as default" in the file menu did the trick. The next problem was that Kmix didnt have a menu bar. I had to dig deeper and find out that ctrl m would bring it back. Thanks Linegod for the fast response.
