- I have a 34GB partition where I would like to load Linux. I want to run a dual-boot system. When I try to load to the designated partition, I get the following message: "You need a true filesystem (ext2/ext3, reiserfs, xfx, or jfs) for this mount point." What does that mean?

- Is the partition already formatted? If it is, delete the partition and leave
it as 'free space'. The Mandrake install will allow you to properly format
this partion.

- Should I use the Mandrake Installer (DrakX) to delete this partition? I created the partition with PartitionMagic 8.0.

- Yes. Use 'diskdrake' (the name of the partitioning tool in DrakX) to delete
the partition.
