- Does the 10.0 Community edition install NVidia drivers for you, or are you supposed to do it yourself?
I have tried installing the drivers for the GeForce2 Go. When running startx I get a sheet of errors including:
NV: Could not open control device /dev/nvidiactl (No such file or directory)
(EE) NVIDIA(0) Failed to initialize NVIDIA kernel module!
etc...

- Try reconfiguring your X by running 'XFdrake' as root. This will
reconfigure with the non-3D 'nv' driver. To install the full proprietary
NVidia driver, download it from http://www.nvidia.com , and follow the
directions.

- Thanks for the reply. My final solution was:
Install kernel: 2.6.3-4mdk as per Mandrake advisory.
Install latest NVidia driver.
Amend XFConfig as per usual.
All ok now.
