-   What is the easiest way to update my kernel to 2.6 or what ever the latest is? Is there a good how to for novices?

Thanks

-   Kernel 2.6 is still in testing. The latest stable kernel is the one that has been updated from
Mandrake 9.2 (as a security update). I would recommend downloading the Mandrake ISO, burning
it, boot from the CD and select 'Upgrade' to upgrade your distro. Once it is done, you can use
rpmdrake to add 'Updates' to your rpm repository, and upgrade to the lastest stable kernel.

There are many other things that need to be upgraded along with the kernel, so this is your best
bet.
