- I clearly understand that this is a newbie question that has most likely been asked many times. however, at the moment i am having trouble finding the answer.
I have a src.rpm. what do i do with it.
step by step. newbie style
and also maybe i should be pointed in the direction of a newbie FAQ. a GOOD one

- Well, you could just do:
# rpm --rebuild name.src.rpm
Then install the RPM that it creates, which will be located in '/usr/src/RPMS'
But my question for you is _why_ are you trying to rebuild a src rpm?

- The reason i am trying to rebuild a src.rpm is because it is the only file package i have found for Hotline (P2P file sharing)
know anything about resizing root partitions.
i have an open question.

- You could try GtkHx -
http://at.rpmfind.net/opsys/linux/RPM/mandrake/9.1/contrib/i586/gtkhx-0.9.3-1mdk.i586.html
I'd also recommend gtk-gnutella and mldonkey. Both are available from http://plf.zarb.org
I'll take a look at your other question when I get a chance.
