- Hello,
I am trying to find an expert to be able to broadcast to a SHOUTcast server.
In fact I tried to install many streamers and even the Icecast rpm without success.
Reward offered.

- Are you trying to stream to an existing Shoutcast server, or are you setting up
your own?
I currently use a combination of icecast, xmms and xmms-liveice to broadcast, but
have worked with various different setups.

- Hello,
I am trying to upload to an existing SHOUTcast server as you do. For my part I am unable to use the LiveIce Xmms plugin.

- Install the 'ices' package:
# urpmi ices
And then read the documentation:
# links /usr/share/doc/ices-0.3/icesmanual.html
Edit '/etc/ices.conf' and the rest should be fairly straight-forward.

- Hello,
Thanks for the advice but I tried this previously and it gave me this error :
Support for reencoding with liblame was not found. You can't reencode this.
Ices Exiting...
Reason why I was trying to find any other solution. Even more, I wasn't able to use LiveIce (plugin for Xmms) or to compile Oddsock.

That means you didn't have 'lame' and 'liblame' installed. If you pick up 'lame',
'liblame' and 'liblame-devel' from http://plf.zarb.org , you should be good to go.
Liveice-xmms requires these also.

- Dear Linegod,
Thanks for all the help provided but all the libs were installed reason why I came to MandrakeExpert.
By the way I found a solution installing CrossOver Office and Winamp for Windows 32 bits.
All my bests and thanks again,
