-   I am trying to execute a shell command from PHP, and i am using the default RPM installation of Apache and PHP that comes with the Mandrake 9.1 distro ... It always say Safe Mode is on, and that is not allowed. How can I turn Safe Mode off ??? (I know is a security problem, don care for this test ...) (PHP docs say to modify /etc/php.ini, but the RPM doesn provide one).

Thanks,

F4LcoN

-   Install the php-ini rpm:

# urpmi php-ini

This will installed the '/etc/php.ini' file, and then you can edit it and set 'safe_mode = off'
