MikeApex : 30/06/03 08:42 PM : Incident created
-   How can I get documentation about installing NVidia drivers for Mandrake9.1.
I followed the NVidia instructions, but the system fails to initialize NVidia kernel module.

-   Are you using the lastest driver from NVidia? If so, change '/etc/modules.conf' to:

alias /dev/nvidia* nvidia

Then reboot.

-   I'm using 3123, I think it's right for this (NVdriver) version.
I've tried all versions (3123, 4191) in all kinds (src.rpm, tar), I've added alias char-major-195 nvidia in modules.conf.
I can understand that I miss something stupid, but I can't find it and I don't know were to start from.
Thanks for your cooperation a priori.

-   I would _highly_ recommend downloading the latest (4363). It comes with a self installer, that
takes care of everything but the XF86Config-4 (which is already good in your case). Depending
on your kernel version, you may need the kernel-source package for the installer.

What can I do? It seems to be OK with BIOS...

MikeApex : 04/07/03 11:31 PM : More info provided
-   OK,I've found the solution...
It was the VGA IRQ in BIOS.
Thank you, Linegod, for your cooperation.
PS I'll cancel the incedent tomorrow..
