- I have 2 hard drives. One for linux, and a second with 57 gigs of my important stuff, in NTFS format. I would like to be able to access this drive in linux, how do i accomplish this? how do you mount a point or whatever its called?

- At a console, as root, run 'diskdrake'. It is a fairly straight forward program, and you
can call your mount point anything you want (like /nt-stuff).

- I had problems using diskdrake for my ntfs partition. I solved this by using
a command line mount. As root go to the console and type:
"mount -t ntfs /dev/(name of ntfs partition "hd??") /mnt/(name your ntfs
mount folder)". Also if you want read and execute access for a non-root
account add "-o umask=555" to the end of that line. You can NOT write to a
ntfs drive, keep that in mind.
