-   I use VNC to connect to all my sessions on my Linux system and I like KDE for my desktop. This combination worked without issue on Mandrake 9.0. I find after my 9.1 install that it no longer works.

The log file just shows a stream of repeating:

Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":1.0"
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":1.0"
Xlib: extension "RENDER" missing on display ":1.0"

and later

WARNING: KDE detected X Error: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter) x09
Major opcode: x0e

In searching the web I found a reference to making sure that Load "glx" is in the "Module" section of my XF86Config-4, but it was already there so that doesn't seem to be the issue.

Any suggestions? All the other window managers work, but I really do want to use KDE.

Thanks,

Ryan

-   This is a know issue, that has to do with anti-aliasing being turned on, and requiring the Render
paramater. One fix is to grab the libqt3 libraries made by Texstar:
http://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/contrib/texstar/linux/distributions/mandrake/9.1/rpms/i586/

This will disable anti-alias by default and let VNC work.

-   Thanks for the help. I'm a little troubled that Mandrake itself doesn't have a libqt3 that supports this anymore, but at least I have a way around it for now.
