- Which Window Manager are you using? If it is KDE, you can have any
application start again by opening '/home/{youruserid}/.kde/Autostart',
right-click and select 'Create New/Link to Application'. Put in a name for the
application, and then click 'execute' and put in the path to the application (you
can find the path for an application by opening up a console and typing 'which
{application name}' in this case 'which ical'). Click 'OK' and the next time you
start up your desktop, ical will launch.
