-   can't open browser through router. router is working because other computers
on the network reach the internet ok. this computer pings the router and other
computers ok, but cannot ping the ISP.

-   Check to make sure you have your gateway set correctly (it should be the ip
address of the 'router')

-   The computer is set to the router as the gateway and still will not log on to the internet.

-   Try to ping your ISP, via the IP, not a domain name. If this works, it may
be your DNS settings.

-   I removed my 2 extra NIC cards and now it works perfectly.

-   Mandrake seems to have a problem supporting multiple NIC cards....no matter
how you change the configuration file or turn them off or on.
