-   Sorry to ask such a silly question - I'm trying to re-install perl and it can't find the make utility...neither can I! I'm surprised that it wasn't part of the Mandrake 8.1 distribution...or maybe it was and I didn't install it.

I don't have a lot of experience installing, so if someone could point me in the right direction for either downloading a public domain implementation of make, or telling me where to get it on my distribution discs, I'd appreciate it!

-   There should be a 'make' RPM on your CD. There is also all of the 'perl' rpms
on your CD, so you should not have to 'make' them, just reinstall the rpms off of
the CD.
