-   Could you be a little more specific? Configure it to do what? Have you
launched it? Have you read the documentation at http://www.xcdroast.org?

-   x-xd-roast is installed on my computer. I opened the program but an error came up ans and said I had to login as root to configure it. I opened a terminal and typed su to become root. then I re-opened x-cd-roast and tried to configure. The hourglass appeared for a while and then the software closed. Then I created this incident. I will look at the faq for the x-cd-roast info. All I want to do is to be able to rip and burn a cd of audio .wav files. Could you suggest a different burner program?

-   yes, you have 'cdrecord'.
it's not so nice. you have to type a command line for creating your CDs,
but it works.
