-   Hi,
Recently I compiled and installed my kernel twice. I ended up with 3 kernel images in /boot (lets call them 'original', 'custom1' and 'custom2'). Everything was configured according to the HOWTO in the mandrakeuser.org site and all was working fine. Now I want to uninstall 'custom1' kernel and keep 'custom2'. So my question is what are the steps for uninstalling a compiled kernel? I tried 'make uninstall' and 'make uninstall_modules' and it didn't work. Is it enough to delete the corresponding files in /boot, change the /etc/lilo.conf, run /sbin/lilo and erase all references to 'custom1' in the /lib/modules ???

Regards,
Raul Assis

-   Yes, that should be all you have to do. Running 'locate custom1' may also
help to find any other occurences that you may have made.
