- I have set samba up and the drive shares work correctly. The printer works correctly from Mandrake 9.0. I setup the [printers] and [print$] in /etc/samba/smb.conf. I then ran 'cupsaddsmb -v -U dcw canon' to export the printer to samba. It gave an error when it executed the rpcclient part of the process. I reran the rcpclient command with debug and got several error messages. They are
1) localhost port 445 connection refused
2) WERR_ACCESS_DENIED
3) NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL.
Port 445 is used by service microsoft-ds. If this service needs to be setup from xinetd what are the settings??
On the second error message I do not know where to look to fix it.
Are there other settings I need to put in place for printing from NT to work??
Any help will be greatly appreciated,
David
