chadahoochie : 08/01/03 06:24 PM : Incident created -   Having trouble turning on DMA for my DVD-ROM. Using hdparm it tries to enable but then says operation not permitted. Can anyone tell me how to do this without recompiling the kernel?

chadahoochie : 08/01/03 09:30 PM : More info provided -   I had already entered options ide-cdrom dma=1 in modules.conf before I used hdparm, and still didn't work. Any other ideas.
