-   Ok, this may seem like a silly question, but I'm just curious. We all know that after installation, the default host is localhost@localdomain, localhost.localdomain, etc... Anyway, I was wondering if there was a way to change the name of the local host and local domain. Silly, yes, curious, yes.

Nothing serious, so if you know how, help me out please.

Thanks

Travis

-   You change your hostname when you configure your networking. Access it
either through 'K/Configuration/Mandrake Control Center/Network and Internet'
or by running 'drakconnect' from a console. Just select 'expert' and you will be
given an option to put in your 'host name'. ie: boxname.domain.com

It will take effect upon a reboot.
