- connect refused.
I can telnet from inside the machine to itself to test posfix via
telnet 127.0.0.1 25.
I get
Connected to localhost.localdomain (127.0.0.1).
Escape character is '^]'.
220 mailbox.getinsightnow.com ESMTP Postfix (1.1.11) (Mandrake Linux)
quit
221 Bye
When I use telnet mailbox.getinsightnow.com
[root@mailbox xinetd.d]# telnet mailbox 25
Trying 65.115.240.248...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused

- Do you have a firewall on that box?
As root:
# /etc/rc.d/init.d/shorewall status

- Check postfix config in /etc/postfix/main.cf if option :
inet_interfaces = all
is uncommented, then restart postfix, with command, as root:
service postfix restart and try again.
If it still does not work, you may also want to try the postfix wizard and
setup postfix again, sometimes the wizard needs to be run in order to allow
outside connections.
