-   When I boot into mandrake, my mouse works fine (microsoft intellimouse optical). However, if I log out, the mouse will no longer work unless I reboot the machine. I am new to linux and have no idea how to troubleshoot this issue.

-   Try disabling 'gpm' and see if it clears up the problem - open a console and login as root (type 'su') and then run 'drakxservices'. If
this does not help you can also try reconfiguring your mouse with 'mousedrake'.
