manduke : 24/11/02 12:34 PM : Incident created |
- How can I remove "Removable Devices" from my KDE desktop so that it is not recreated every time I start KDE?

- Go to 'K/Configuration/KDE/LookNFeel/Behaviour' and at the bottom there should be an
option to disable the devices that you don't want listed.

- I can't find the menu item you mention. Surely there's a config file or script somewhere which is replacing "removable devices"? If I knew where, I could amend/remove the file and solve the problem.

- Edit '/usr/bin/kdesktop-links' and comment out the ones you don't want (as
root) and remove them from '$HOME/Desktop' (will be .whatever files).
