-   Three questions:
1) How can I set the speaker volume used at login? It is set to maximum now.
2) My two CDROM drives operate correctly for playing audio CDs, but I can not view the files. I've tried Konqueror and Console (using ls -al). No files are listed. However, in properties (Konqueror) the free space and % used are good. I'm viewing /mnt/cdrom and/or /mnt/cdrom2.
3) My USB keyboard is sometimes not recognized on bootup. It is working now, and most of the time, but occasionally it is like the system forgets it is there.
Thanks in advance - Doug

-   First, you would be better off asking single questions, so that if an expert cannot answer one,
another will.

1. To set your volume, go to 'K/Multimedia/Sound/Sound Mixer', adjust your settings and select
'File/Save current values as default'

2. Have you tried mounting the CD-ROM before trying to view? - 'mount /mnt/cdrom' and then do
'cd /mnt/cdrom' and then 'ls -la'
