-   I downloaded Anjuta to use as a C IDE, but I can't install it. When I try to add my downloads folder (/home/michael/downloads) as a local source, Software Manager tells me that there is an error adding the source.

How do I install software in .rpm format using Software Manager?

-   The quickest way to install an RPM that you have downloaded is to open up a
console, log in as root (type 'su', hit enter, and give your root password)
then change to your download directory ('cd downloads') and manually install
the rpm:

# rpm -ivh packagename.rpm
