- I attempt to install lesstif-0.93.15. The installation fails at the configure step.
I'm kind of new user to linux. Please show me how to install lesstif and ddd step by step.

- Download the lesstif and ddd RPMs from a Mandrake mirror site and as root at
a console type:
# rpm -ivh lesstif*rpm ddd*rpm
If it complains about dependancies, download them also. If the dependancy
is a library, type it into http://rpmfind.net to find out what package
contains that library.

- Hello,
If you talk about a configure step in the installation of the softwarfe this means you
are instralling from sources (tar.gz files ).
Please use instead the rpmdrake or the mandrake software manager in order to
install the approriate rpm mdk packages.
Refer to you manual for the installation of additional software.
Installing from ssources is a little bit more difficult and you will be faced with
additional possible problems like depencies which are not met.
