How do I kill or start without X?

	- To boot into runlevel 3 (without X) at the LILO splash screen, hit escape, and then type 'linux 3'. To disable X in an already running system, switch to a console (CTRL-ALT-F1), log in as root, and then type 'init 3'. Install the drivers and update your XF86Config-4, then restart X with 'init 5'. ----- Note: If this answer resolves your problem, please remember to close this incident.
