NinjaNate : 21/09/02 06:53 PM : Incident created
-   I currently have the RPM version of apache installed on my mandrake 8.2 server and want to uninstall it. I've gone into the mandrake control center and have tried to uninstall it with no luck. When I click uninstall button the control center closes and doesn't uninstall the package. I did a test and was able to uninstall webmin with no problem. Anybody have any suggestions.

Thanks,
Nathan

-   Open a console, and login as root (type 'su' and then your root password). Then
do:

# rpm -qa|grep apache

This should show a list of packages. Use 'rpm -e' to remove these packages
(without version number) ie:

# rpm -e apache apache-common apache-conf

If it comes back with a package being dependant on apache, add it to the end of
the command.

-   Package was software depentent on other RPM's. Removing it from a terminal worked.
