How to extract .bin files??

vincleary : 20/09/02 05:37 AM : Incident created -   I have downloaded two files that claimed to be 'self-extracting', but when I click on them nothing happens!! They both have .bin file names; any ideas on how to run/extract them? Thx in advance, V.

Either right-click and select 'Properties' and then set the permissions to 'Read/Write/Executable' for your user, or open a console and: # chmod 755 *.bin # ./whatever.bin -------- Note: If this answer resolves your problem, please remember to close this incident.
