-   Hi

I think I have a corrupt install of Quanta Plus (html editor) that I recently downloaded because I did'nt have all the dependencies I needed at first and so it did'nt compile properly. The preview feature works in root but not in the normal mode (user). Anyway, how do I uninstall this program so I can reinstall it again?.

When I installled it, it was one of those source files where I had to type "./configure" and then "make" and finally "make install".

Thank's

-   Go back into the directory you compiled it in and execute 'make uninstall'. And
Quanta is available as a Mandrake RPM. You can either install it from the CD,
using 'rpmdrake', an official mirror, or search for the Mandrake rpm at
http://rpmfind.net

-   Hi

Thank's for getting back to me. Well, I logged into root and read the docs and it said that in order to uninstall Quanta Plus 3.0 I would need to type "make clean". So I did. The program got deleted. Before I did this though, I also typed "make uninstall". Finally, I went in and deleted the folder where I had originally extracted the source. Everything was completely removed. So then I downloaded the RPM version from rpmfind.net and tired to install Quanta Plus v3.0 but it kept telling me that "everything is already installed". So I tried to download and install another one. Still no luck. Finally, I brought up the terminal and typed "whereis" and "which". I also brought up RPMinst and looked for ANY version of Quanta Plus there. It was gone so I'm not sure why I keep getting a message telling me that everything is already installed...hmmm. The original problem when I installed the source version and compiled it was that it the program worked fine when I used it from root but when I used it as "user" I would start working on an HTML page and when I clicked on "preview", it would just be a blank screen. In other words, my code was showing up as I typed it in the editor (obviously) but not in the "preview". I've since uninstalled EVERYTHING and recompiled the source. Still no luck. Is there an URL you can give me where I can get an RPM version that works or perhaps you'd even be so kind as to create an RPM of it for me please;). I do a lot of web stuff and I have to have this program. It looked excellent btw!.

Thank's
