- I would like some help to setup Mandrake's FTP server. Can anyone give me
directions or point me to some written documentation? Also, if anyone can
recommand any books on mandrake I can purchase that would be great too.
My email is [email protected]

- I would recommend installing 'proftpd' (it's on the CD) and reading the
documentation at http://proftpd.linux.co.uk/ . There is also info in
'/usr/share/doc/proftpd-x.x/'
The best 'Mandrake specific' documentation can be had by purchasing the box set.

- I recommend installing webmin: I don't know much about ftp servers but I can
easily configure one using webmin, which is included with Mandrake 8.2. You
can also install wu-ftpd as the ftp server software, also on the CD.

- Thank You. Wow, want's better than this. Post a question and actually get a response. It beats waiting for hours for Microsoft to pick up the phone. I'll do some searching and reading. Thanks for all of your help.
