- When I try to add a source to rpmdrake, it gives an error saying
"An error occurred when adding this source". Is there some
way to trace what exactly that error was? I've tried reinstalling
rpmdrake from the rpm command line, it has not helped.

- sometimes when you try to add a source for security updates you can get that
error due to too many users logged in at that moment, it is not an error of
your package.
hope this helps, if so please remember to close this incident, if not please
ask again if you still have problems

- Try adding the source via the 'urpmi' command at a console (type 'urpmi --
help' for info). If this does not work, update urpmi as well (it is the
backend for rpmdrake).

- Just do it with the command line with:
#urpmi.addmedia -h Your_source_name ftp://ftp.your-downloadsite.com
and you will see all the messages and errors. Don't forget to do
#urpmi.update Your_source_name
when all is ok!
Tell me if it helps!

- I used command-line RPM to force upgrades on all the components of rpmdrake. This seemed to fix the problem. Thanks all!
