- allright, here goes... ...i have wine running on my machine and would like to update it. in order to do this i must uninstall the first installation of it. how do i do so?? and please break it down barney style, like im a preschooler, cuz i allready screwed it up once!!

- i installed it with an rpm daily thats built weekly from a link on the wine site
its the mandrake "fast mirror" site link if that helps...

- If it was installed via RPM, all you have to do is download the file, and
then as root:
# rpm -Uvh packagename.rpm
'U' - upgrade
'v' - verbose
'h' - human readable

- the site says to uninstall previous versions of wine before installing a new one, do not install over top of previous versions!! if you do it doesnt work, ive tried it b4.
