- when i connect to my server from outside on port 110 server waits 30 seconds before establishing a connection and this is a big problem. when I connect from localhost it does it immediatly. my network connection is quick and on my other server which is a lot slower computer I heve no problem with this. I use xinetd and pop3d from MDK 8.2 distribution. ftp, smtp and http on my server works fine only pop3 doesn't

- Open up a connection to your server and run 'tail -f /var/log/messages' and
attempt a pop connection, and check for errors.

- It don't work. There was nothing unusual in /var/log/messages. I serch all logs but didn't find any answer. I'm not beginer in linux.

- I don't now why but I reboot my server and now pop3d is working fine:)
I think that I change too much of my config files - but I had to do it.
