-   I have done a clean install and all is running well, but I cannot see the contents of either of my CD drives. They are auto-mounted upon boot.

-   Do to problems with supermount, it was disabled in 8.1 (latest kernels in
cooker supposedly have it working again).

Try issueing, as root:

# mount /mnt/cdrom
# ls /mnt/cdrom

And see if it works.

-   are you using mdk 8.1? are you referring to 'supermount is enabled' when you
typed 'auto-mounted' upon boot ? supermount is broken in mdk 8.1. have you
tried to manually mount?
