- I'm new to Linux and would like to get the feel for linux without doing the proper installation (involving disk partitioning etc). I was hoping to install it into a windows folder using the 'lnx4win' command as explained in the installation guide on the first CD, however if doesn't seem to recognise the command. I boot the computer using the installation CD, reach the first installation screen where I press F1, type the command, but get the response 'Could not find kernal image: lnx4win'. Please could someone explain what i'm doing wrong. I using the installation CD I burnt myself using iso images that I had downloaded.

- lnx4win is not on the Download Edition. Boot into windows and insert the
Installation CD, then follow the directions that come up.
