Large HD on old BIOS

PDW : 18/05/02 04:16 PM : Incident created -   Hi, I want to install a new HD in a old system (Socket 7, p120). I am looking at a IDE IBM40GB. I doubt that the BIOS will see this, or that I can flash it to. I remember reading a doc that stated that Linux can access a large drive even if the BIOS cannot see it. Can anyone confirm that this is the case? and point me towards the doc? Many thanks, Paul
