Tolkien : 06/03/02 05:57 PM : Incident created -   A friend of mine downloaded all the mandrake-linuz 8.1 files from the ftp site but then realized it's 1.7GBs or something, we both thought it would be 1CD worth of stock, but of course it isn't, what files/folders go on what # CD (for all the install processes to go smoothly)? I'm new to linux and so is he, so neither of us know. Thanks for you time, I hope you can help us!
Linegod_7611 : 07/03/02 10:23 PM : Reply received -   You _could_ create a working CD out of the files you downloaded, but that is not the normal method. Download the ISO files, and following the instructions with your CDR software, burn the ISO to a CD (don't just copy the ISO to the CD, it must be burned as an ISO).
