-   I've installed Mandrake 8.1 and i'm now trying to finish a script i started a while ago. I tested Apache en PHP and both are running just fine. However i get some really weird error messages from the apache server

Warning: Failed opening '/var/www/html/licenties/index.php' for inclusion (include_path='') in Unknown on line 0

This is probably caused by a bug in my script, but this information is not very helpfull. Usually you get an error message saying in which file the error is and what line, but this one just says Unknown on line 0
How can i alter this?

And also i have a few minor problems that i hope you can help me with:
1. I opened Harddrake because i wanted to select another keyboard (several keys are displaying other characters), but i can't find the keyboard amongst the hardware. I've found the mouse and all that, but not the keyboard
2. When i select a piece of text with my mouse it automatically gets copied. I don't want this to happen, i find it very irritating. I only want it to be copied when i pres ctrl-c (or select copy from a menu when i right-click the selected text). Where can i find the settings for this?

-   This problem:
"Warning: Failed opening '/var/www/html/licenties/index.php' for inclusion (include_path='') in Unknown on line 0"
is already solved. I figured maybe it had something to do with the permissions on that file, since i downloaded it using ftp and the other files (that did work) were created by myself. So, after chmodding all the files 755 it worked.

The 2 'minor' problems still stand though

-   Although is just solved the problem, it's not displaying any error message anymore. If there's no bug in my php file, it works fine, but if there is a bug it just shows me a blanc page. I checked my php info (by creating a file an echoing phpinfo();) and error_display is on.

How can i make apache reporting the error (with the file and line number in which it occurs)?

themarty : 05/03/02 06:57 AM : More info provided
-   Ok, i have somehow solved the problem of the error display. maybe i forgot to restart apache...i'm not sure what i did, but it's working now

so once again, only the two minor problems require attention

(i'm sorry for all the posts... maybe instead of just an 'add' option, you should build an edit option too)

-   Your keyboard might not have a definition (there are thousands of different keyboards, and most of the definitions are submitted by people who own
them).

This is the standard Unix method. The new KDE 3 in Beta has a method to switch this default, but I do not believe any current WindowManager does.

As an aside, it is usually better to only ask one question per post, as an expert may not be able to answer all three, and may just skip over the question.

-   I really hope they will do something about that selecting/copying problem i have. I think it's really stupid that it copies text just by selecting it
but maybe i'm just too used to windows
