Missing Floppy

straightarrow : 23/01/02 05:54 AM : Incident created -   Following installation Floppy Drive will not mount. I found a Mandrake Linux tip that indicates "boot your kernel with nobiospnp specified at the boot command line" to solve this problem. Please instruct me on exactly how to do this. Also I would like to note that my bios was set to No for plug and play aware OS per installation instrtuctions (is it possible there is a different problem). Thanks.
Linegod_7611 : 23/01/02 08:30 AM : Reply received -   When LILO comes up, hit 'ESC' and type 'linux nobiospnp'. If this works, you can edit '/etc/lilo.conf' and add the line 'append= nopnpbios' to the entry with 'label=linux'. When done, type '/sbin/lilo' to reload LILO.
