- I have a dual boot to windows 95 and Linux Mandrake 8.1. The boot loader that I installed was LILO with graphical menu. Now my sister got into my Linux and did something to it, I don't get the LILO boot menu anymore and therefore I can't get into Linux, I can only boot to windows 95. I try to use the Mandrake Boot Disk from the Installation and I get a message

- Insert the Mandrake CD and boot from it. At the splash screen type 'F1' then type 'rescue'. When it boots up, type 'chroot /mnt' and then type '/sbin/lilo'. This should reload LILO, and allow you to boot into Mandrake.
And keep your sister away from your computer :)

- I received your reply after I had resolved the problem I did it in a slightly different way.
After typing 'chroot /mnt', I didn’t know what to do, so I typed ‘man’. It asked me what man page I wanted to see, I typed ‘LILO’, and that was it! I could boot to Linux; not graphical though, I had to fix that later. I am very new to Linux and having solved a big problem like that (for me)made me very happy J.
Thanks,
