Chris_MacLean_8936 : Incident created (06/09/09 02:10 PM)

- I have Mandrake 10.0 and REQUIRE php-tokenizer to be active. Apparently for whatever reason, my version of PHP doesn't include it (though it's supposed to be standard in PHP 4.3 ).

I've found php-tokenizer-4.3.10-1mdk.i586.rpm but even after re-starting the httpd it's still not showing up in my phpinfo();

Does anyone have any idea how I can activate it without recompiling?

Is there a way I can get ahold of Mandrake 10.2 to upgrade to? I plan on getting a new server soon, and putting Mandriva 2009.1 (or 2010) on it, but I'm not able to at this time.

Thanks!
Chris.

- When you speak of 10.0 and 10.2 I am guessing you have an older computer running as a server and
therefore need the older/smaller 2.4 kernels.

If you go to the mandriva download webpage and select a country for download, you will get several FTP
web sites to choose from. Here is one of them (but other FTP websites are available):
ftp://mirrors.kernel.org/mandrake/Mandrakelinux/official/iso/

If you require a 2.4 kernel, I think you may be able to go as high up as 2006 and still choose a 2.4 kernel
for an older machine.

- My main question was why can't I get php-tokenizer working on Mandrake 10.0?

I don't want to do a massive upgrade as it's a production server and don't
want to "break" it.

Anyway, I worked around it, got a 2nd server, and installed 2009.1 on it,
works perfectly.
