-   When I'm in Windows xp I can view my Acer Aspire 3004 Wlmi laptop's desktop on my Samsung LR37 widescreen. I would like to be able to do the same with Mandriva which is on the laptop too, but can't find how to set this, my screen just says "mode not supported". I have an SIS M760GX graphics card. Thanks.

-   "mode not supported" is not a good sign. You may need to wait until someone in the
community has enough interest to look at it, or you might not have support at all unless
the chip manufacturer or the laptop company pays someone to make a working driver.

Contact "Acer" and let them know that you are using their laptop with Linux.
The more users that use Acer and Linux, the more Acer will realize that they really
should be more involved in providing Linux drivers for their hardware. ;-)

This is a 2-way street, so feedback to them is definitely important to them, and to you
in the long-run (looking towards the future). ;-)

If they do not provide support, you may wish to look at competitive products in future
that do provide support by specifically asking "Does your hardware run linux?" :-(
