- I have used Easy URPMI to add media in rpmdrake and any programs that I install from non standard media installs but does not put shortcuts in the KDE menu.Can anyone tell me how to get the shortcuts into the menu.I am very new to linux so please be gentle.

- Wath you mean with "non standart medias" ? Please ever use Mandriva oficial repositories, its for you own good :)
Are you sure the program is installed ? Try running it via terminal, its just put the program's name in terminal hit enter and it will
run.

What I mean by non standard media are media from the PLF Project that is set
up from the web site ¨http://easyurpmi.zarb.org/¨ as well as the official
Mandriva distribution medias.
The PLF project maintains Mandriva Linux packages that cannot be included in
the official Mandriva sources due to various reasons.
I have run the installed programs from terminal and they work fine but that
would be a pain to do it that way every time I want to use those programs so
that is why I would like the shortcuts in the KDE Menu.

- Hmm... PLF is ok.
I'm not sure why this is happen.. o workarround would be to use 'kmenuedit' to add the
missing entries.
