M._Sz._5235 : More info requested (01/03/08 10:29 AM)

- Hi,

i solved the problem. Follow this steps:

1.) Install any version of cups driver e.g. cndrvcups-capt-1.60-1.i386.rpm,
cndrvcups-common-1.60-1.i386.rpm.

2.) Turn off printerdrake (disable auto printer detection and installation)

3.) Make sure in the admin console, that NO printer is installed on your machine.

4.) Insert the following 2 lines at the end of your rc.local file (located
in /etc/rc.d)

etc/init.d/ccpd start
/usr/sbin/lpadmin -p LBP2900 -m CNCUPSLBP2900CAPTK.ppd -v ccp:/var/ccpd/fifo0 -E

5.) If you restart it will work. (It will also work if you start teh ccpd deamon
manually and execute the lapadmin command, but the changes take only effect if
you fix them somewere)

Hope it helps

Mike

P.S.: I found the solution on this czech site:
